During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier today, Keaton, brought up her lack of marital status when discussing her new movie 5 Flights Up. Costarring alongside Morgan Freeman, Keaton plays a woman whose been married for 40 years, and remarked about the lack of parallels her character has to her own life.
"I never got married," she said about the relationship she had to portray on screen. "So the fact that somebody could live for 40 years with someone and be devoted to that person is something that moves me and I'm profoundly affected by it."
The eternal optimist and romantic, DeGeneres told the famed movie star that she could still find love. "It's not too late!" the talk show host said to Keaton, to which the Annie Hall icon adorably responded in shock, "Me?!"
"Who's gonna..." she thought to herself for a second before saying, in all seriousness: "Wait, oh. Channing Tatum?"
DeGeneres laughed and explained that Tatum is taken, but that doesn't bother Keaton one bit. "That's okay!" she shouted out before adding: "Channing Tatum is actually married to someone else... not me?"
The entire exchange was pretty adorable. DeGeneres continued to reassure Keaton that she could find love again — she famously had serious relationships with Al Pacino, Woody Allen, and Warren Beaty — but Keaton seems pretty set on the Magic Mike hunk (um, we don't blame her!).
