Demi Lovato wants to make one thing very clear to boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama: He is "the one." During an interview with New Zealand radio show ZM today, the singer made no mistake about her feelings for her beau of five years.
"I am very, very in love with him," she said of the That '70s Show alum. "I think we'll probably wait a little bit longer, but if he asked tomorrow, I'd say yes."
She sounds confident now, but she explained that their relationship weathered a fair amount of doubt in the beginning, largely due to their 12-year age difference.
"I was 18 and he was 30 so people were definitely judgmental and even my parents were kind of, 'Why is someone his age wanting to date someone so young?'" she said of their early years. "And after a while everyone around us started to see that what we have was real and incredible and very special, and we've been together ever since. Obviously my family loves him [now]. People kind of stop doing that because you can see when we're together or even just from our Instagrams that we're very sweet to one another."
No question part of that is because Valderrama has supported through Lovato through her eating disorder and other highly-publicized personal issues. Last week, she posted an Instagram indicating as much.
"Learn to lurrrrrvveee yerrrrr currrrrvveees I actually used to hate them... But then a special someone helped me learn how to love them... And he sure loves them.... #squats #COOLFORTHESUMMER," she captioned a shot of her in a revealing outfit.
