Dancing With the Stars finalist Amy Purdy took an entirely different twirl across a dance floor Saturday night as she celebrated her wedding to longtime love Daniel Gale, according to People. After 14 years of dating, the 35-year-old told the magazine, "we felt it was just finally time to come together and make a commitment to each other."
Purdy and Gale, who took part in the Amazing Race together in 2012, exchanged vows in front of almost 160 family and friends at The Barn in Hidden Hills in Boise, Idaho. Purdy, a world-class snowboarder, revealed a few wedding-related details to E! News last month, teasing, "Love for Lemons are doing some of our dresses. I am doing a mixture of dresses, different designers for the bridesmaids dresses."
The bride shared an image of her lace dress on Instagram on Saturday, writing, "My dad and I! Something special is about to go down. Can't wait to see my love @dang_ale!"
She then told E News!, "It will be really intimate and special, but we really invited our mutual friends. That's what was most important. We wanted to make sure the people that are there are the people that supported us through this whole journey."
Gale, 39, popped the question three months ago during a romantic getaway in Puerto Rico. He broke the happy news on Instagram, writing, "Yes was the answer!!!!!!! Couldn't be happier and more proud to be engaged to the love of my life @amypurdygurl! What an amazing journey it's been and what an exciting future we have. Love you so much! XO."
