Congratulations are in order for NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his longtime girlfriend Amy Reimann, who married Saturday night in a New Year's Eve wedding. Luckily, we have the ultra-romantic wedding video and photos to obsess over!
The couple said "I do" at North Carolina's Childress Vineyards, a wine estate owned by NASCAR race team owner Richard Childress, ABC News reports. The bride opted for a strapless wedding dress and cathedral-length veil for the big day, while Earnhardt Jr. wore a classic tux with a full white bloom as a boutonniere.
Several NASCAR stars were in attendance including Chocolate Myers, Danica Patrick — who caught the bouquet! — and Bubba Wallace.
It appears that the bride changed into a second wedding dress for their rocking reception — a form-fitting silver number that was the epitome of New Year's Eve chic.
Earnhardt and Reimann, who have dated since 2009, got engaged in June 2015 in Germany, ABC News reports. (The site of their engagement was actually the same church where Earnhardt's ancestors had attended seven generations and 300 years ago.)
According to ABC, Earnhardt missed the final 18 races of the 2016 season because of a concussion suffered in a crash at Michigan. He tested a car in early December and is cleared to race in 2017. Apparently, Earnhardt wanted to get the test done before the wedding so he could be confident that he would return, and therefore focus for a few weeks on the wedding and the honeymoon.
