We've all seen Ciara in a wedding dress before (she was a former BRIDES covergirl, after all!), so we know the girl glows all decked out in lace and tulle. (No surprise there...) And since she was just so darn gorgeous, we've been waiting and wishing to see Ciara don bridal wear once again to walk down the aisle with her current love, Russell Wilson. Recently, the "I Bet" singer addressed those swirling engagement rumors between her and her football star beau. But unfortunately, it looks like we'll be waiting just a bit longer to see her rock an engagement ring again.
Back in 2014, during her engagement to hip-hop artist Future, Ciara graced the cover of our August/September issue, dropping jaws in a long-sleeve embroidered Chantilly lace Reem Acra gown. The illusion neckline! Those lacey sleeves! We're still not over that chic, classic bridal look. And although they didn't make it to the altar, it's clear that the versatile singer owns the aisle just as well as the stage.
Now head over heels in love with Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, Ciara just responded to those ever-circulating wedding rumors. At Coach's New York Fashion Week presentation, Ciara stopped to chat with E! News where she very coyly set the record straight. When asked about Wilson's recent social media post wherein he declared his singing sweetheart "The One," Ciara coolly responded, "Congratulations on good love?" She then held up her bling-less hand, for proof of her still-single status. Way to dash our wedding bell dreams, Ciara!
An engagement ring isn't the only thing Ciara is very patiently waiting for. The couple claims to be currently celibate and are waiting until marriage to have sex. But hopefully they won't have to wait too much longer. In December, an insider source told E! News, "They will be getting engaged one day soon though, as they both openly talk about their future with each other. They know in their hearts they are meant to be with each other. They are in such an amazing place now in their relationship." We're already dreaming up the dress! (Can you blame us?)
