Christina Perri and her boyfriend Paul Costabile are signing up for "a thousand years" together: The couple is now engaged, Perri announced on her Instagram Wednesday (June 22).
"Paul asked me to marry him tonight & I said yes!" Perri, 30, wrote on Instagram, along with a picture of her brand-new bling. The engagement ring features a sparkling round-cut diamond set in a unique upside-down V-shaped band — for a nontraditional twist on a classic stone.
Costabile, an on-air interviewer for The Hollywood Reporter, also shared the happy news on his social media accounts. "I knew I wanted to ask this girl to marry me the day she walked into the green screen for an interview almost 4 years ago," he wrote on Instagram, alongside a sweet photo of him and Perri kissing. "I finally asked her right here tonight and she said yes!!!"
Perri has shared few insights into their relationship over the years, recently calling Costabile "the love of her life" on Instagram. And when the two tie the knot, they will certainly have plenty of romantic songs to choose from to include in their big day — especially considering Perri's "A Thousand Years" is one of the most popular first-dance songs in the entire world.
This won't be Perri's first trip down the aisle, however. The singer previously married a video producer when she was just 21 years old — but the two divorced 18 months later, according to the Mirror. "I was 21 when I got married, 22 when I got divorced," she revealed. "We ran to Florida and eloped. It didn't make any sense." After her divorce, she moved home to Philadelphia and wrote her breakout hit "Jar of Hearts".
Congrats to the couple!
