Chris Hemsworth makes for a very hunky Thor. Those muscles, the hair, that face—it's no wonder co-star Natalie Portman is such a willing onscreen kisser!
But Portman recently told NY Daily News that their steamy final kiss in Thor: The Dark World isn't all it seems.

It turns out that Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky stood in for Portman when her work schedule got in the way!
"It was for reshoots (after the film was finished) and he was working in Hong Kong and I couldn't get there because I was working on my own film," Portman said. "So they put his wife in my wig and costume. That's why it was so passionate."
"It was such a perfect solution, wasn't it," Portman postured. We certainly agree!
It was lucky for the couple, who have been married since 2010, that they were traveling together when the last-minute replacement was needed. Even luckier? Both actresses are a diminutive 5'3" compared to Hemsworth's 6'4" stature.
"I was mainly cast in the role because I can make anyone look huge when they stand next to me," Portman joked on The Graham Norton Show of their height difference in October. "I'm extraordinarily short. They usually had a ramp for me to walk up so I could land somewhere near his face."
That really makes Hemsworth and Pataky's scenario sound meant-to-be. There are few things more heart-warming than hearing about happily-married couples, especially ones that collaborate together.
With their discreet big-screen make out session now public information, they can focus on their next project: The parents to one-year-old India are expecting their second child next year! We're crossing our fingers for another boy. The world could use more hunky Hemsworth men, couldn't it?
