Your fiancé likely surprised you with his heartfelt proposal — but could he actually surprise you with a wedding? That's exactly what this Georgia groom did for his bride this holiday season.
Under the pretense that she'd be posing in her wedding gown for bridal photos, a bride named Christina headed to the Mall of Georgia. The photographer led her to a gargantuan Christmas tree — the proposed location for the shoot — where she was met by her father, dressed in a tuxedo and holding a cascading white bouquet. He said, "you're getting married today," and tears filled the bride's eyes.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the tree, shielded from sight, guests gathered and created an aisle for the bride to walk down toward her groom, Brian, who'd orchestrated the whole event. He, too, was dressed in a tuxedo, and looked overwhelmed with joy when he spotted his bride in a mermaid-style ivory gown, embellished with a crystal belt.
Based on the bride's tearful reaction to the flash wedding, it seems the groom made a good call in surprising his bride with both the wedding date and venue. Flash weddings seem to be growing in popularity among couples who want to buck some tradition by surprising their guests and keeping things a tad more casual, while still hosting the event at a public square, museum or park.
