Vera Wang conjured up her usual magic for her latest collection, titled "Witchcraft." Fittingly, the palette was all nude and black, which made for a show that was more sublime than spooky. Bisque-hued ball gowns wafted down the runway, showcasing Wang's signature pleating and organic draping. One standout, a corset gown in tonal taupe-and-honey tulle, featured layer upon layer of scrunched fabric. The slimmer silhouettes—many in black—were mad-sexy. There were body-con stretch-chiffon and silk-crepe mermaid numbers that brought to mind a glam Morticia Adams. When Wang combined her two primary colors, the effects were equally compelling. A ball gown of black Chantilly lace over nude tulle was just one knockout in a collection that offered a captivating change from a sea of white.
