Along with Pinterest, Instagram has become our favorite social media platform for discovering amazing wedding photos. Whenever we share a snapshot from, for example, an event, our fashion closet, or a real wedding, we ask our followers to show us their own pictures. Recently, we tasked them with using the hashtag #BridesAndMaids so we could see their coolest, most creative photos of their bridesmaids. After all, it's the best way to get new ideas for must-take photos and to see what's hot in bridesmaid dress style! We loved the tagged photos so much that we carefully chose the four best ones to showcase here. Read on to see just what it is that we love so much about these gowns!
A playful pose goes a long way: Wedding photographer Jeremy Chou shared the photo on the left, which is one of the most fun ones we've seen in a while! Sure, the floor-length blush gowns are a marvel in and of themselves, but the cute way the bridesmaids are showing off their gorgeous bouquets really put it over the top! We love how it puts the pretty details front and center; and it shows off the gals' goofy personalities.
Laughter is the best medicine for a staged photo: Taking wedding pictures can be the most tiring part of an already-exhausting day. That's why it's so important to get a photographer you like and surround yourself with a bridal party you love! Bride Caitlin Ryan Beauvilain shared a photo (top right) that proves how a laugh can transform an otherwise standard bride and bridesmaids photo. Not only are the mint green J. Crew dresses wedding perfection (those flower girls are pretty adorable, too), but the genuine smiles look candid and spontaneous.
When in doubt, add sparkle: Some brides want to be the center of attention, others want to lavish the spotlight on their 'maids! Bride Alexis Ang shared a picture (middle right) of her show-stopping bridesmaids' ensembles. The gold sequined skirts play off of her feathered one perfectly, and are eye-catching and totally awesome. Hey, they look pretty happy to be wearing them, too!
Don't forget to snap a casual shot: The photo at bottom right, shared by bride Quyen Chang, is sweet for how happy and relaxed everyone looks. Though not taken by the wedding photographer, it's just as special — the purple dresses look great, the bride looks excited, and everyone's got those stunning bouquets.
