So that's why Sherlock wasn't revealing any clues about his wedding. Benedict Cumberbatch and his fiancé of two months Sophie Hunter announced today that they are expecting a baby!
"I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child," The Imitation Game star's rep told Us Weekly. "They are both over the moon."
Now that they're expecting their first child together, the nuptials, which the Sherlock lead has coolly avoided talking about on the red carpet the past few months, are likely to come sooner than later.

A source told the New York Post's Page Six, who first reported the story, "Sophie is a few months along, and both she and Benedict are very excited about it. They are also quietly planning to marry in early spring."
While this may seem like a surprise, the Golden Globe nominee has been hinting at his growing family since November. At that time, he told People in regards to having children: "Oh, my God. Well, my mother is also waiting for Cumberbabies."
But then, to throw everyone off course, the actor told reporters on the red carpet last Saturday at the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival about his wedding: "One thing at a time!"
This will be the first marriage and the first child for both Cumberbatch and Hunter. To everyone's delight the two announced their engagement back in November the old school way: In the newspaper! So we can only imagine that if their nuptials are to happen in the spring, they'll be quite classic. We can't wait!
And we of course can't wait for the Cumberbaby, because, let's be honest, it's really fun to say Cumberbaby. Congrats to the happy couple!
