Event designer Annie Lee has planned weddings for pop stars and Russian princesses—so we knew that when we asked her to dream up her own big day, it would result in a sparkling soirée to remember. True to form, Lee mapped out an avant-garde, black tie affair complete with bold fashion choices (a gold wedding dress by Marchesa!) and glamorous details like art deco-inspired china and a sleek, getaway Maserati. Venue: The Venice Opera House. Invite: Ivory ink on black stock by Bernard Maisner, and vintage stamps. Invitation flourish: A mega wax seal. Honored tradition: Waiting until the ceremony to see the groom. Cocktail-hour music: An opera singer. Dance tunes: The Hudson Project, a 10-piece band. Splurge: Film photography. Getaway car: A Maserati with red interior.

Cocktail-hour hit: Deviled quail eggs with wasabi caviar on toast from PS Tailored Events. I love eggs. Love. Dining style: Euro. I'd serve dinner first, and then have dancing in a different room. Restaurant dish to re-create: Sea urchin, squid, cod roe, and seaweed over spaghetti from Spoon House in L.A. At the bar: Savory tipples by Yusef Austin. Signature cocktail: Tequila, chile, agave, and grapefruit juice. Cake: Vanilla with Chantilly cream and berries. At the dessert table: Lavender milk and cookies.
