Two anonymous sources confirmed Hathaway's pregnancy to the news outlet, saying the 33-year-old is expecting her first child with her husband, 34-year-old producer Adam Shulman. According to one of the sources, Hathaway "is in her second trimester and feeling great!"
The media has long suspected Hathaway was pregnant, thanks to several photographs taken of the actress showing the first signs of what appeared to be a baby bump in September at the London premiere of her new film The Intern. Just last week, Hathaway sported an even larger bump while she was out with her husband in Beverly Hills, E! News reports.
Hathaway revealed in January 2014 that she was looking forward to having children with Shulman. And in 2012, in a roundtable of actresses and mothers, she said, "I'm the only one here who's not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon. I'm thinking about that [the paparazzi] because I really want to have a baby, and my husband and I are like, 'Where are we gonna live?'"
The actress battled pregnancy rumors back in 2013. Then, she told Vogue, "Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely. I think about it all the time, though it's a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can't wait to meet them."
