So what did these two hilarious, if innocuous-seeming actors do to deserve the boot? Scott recalled that the wedding was ten years ago, and their unexpected exit was all due to a congratulatory video that these two funny men took too far.
Explaining that the video was the kind "where all the buddies say congratulations," the actor noted that he and Rudd thought it would be appropriate, during their "segments," to whip out their, well, you can guess the rest...
When Meyers asks while laughing, where Scott and Rudd thought this clip would be shown, Scott shrugs and unconvincingly says that he thought it might have aired at the bachelor party.
He then recounts exactly what each of them did in their clips, which we'll let you listen to for yourself (warning: It's NSFW). The kicker? The video was definitely not meant for the bachelor party. "It turns out, the video was shown during the reception," Scott said, foreshadowing their inevitable exit.
"So when it starts, did you know? Was it like the worst moment of your life?" the Late Night host asks the Hot Tub Time Machine 2 star.
"No, no, we were psyched," Scott quickly replies.
"Our bits come — it was a tough room — the bride was not psyched at all," Scott explained. "The groom, our friend, was like, 'What are you doing?!'"
After they were told to leave, Scott and Rudd showed up to the brunch the next morning and had to apologize to everyone.
"We deserved it, 100%," Scott said of the mishap.
Note to guests: Flashing any body part at your friends' wedding is a surefire way to put you on the do not invite list for the future, even if you are one of Hollywood's funniest guys.
