Q: How do I get the BRIDES app?
A: It's easy! Click here to download it from the app store.
Q: What content is included in the app?
A: The app offers a free preview mini-issue of BRIDES; you can also purchase complete digital issues of the magazine. Each digital edition of BRIDES offers bonus app-only content, such as exclusive videos, 360° views of merchandise, audio reviews by our editors, and more!
Q: Does the issue expire?
A: Nope! Once you purchase a digital issue, you will have access to it from your app for as long as you have the app.
Q: How am I notified when the latest issue is available to download?
A: When you open the current issue, you will receive a notification that it is available to download, or you will receive an update in the App Store when new issues are available.
Q: Can I purchase back issues of BRIDES on my iPad?
A: The first issue of BRIDES that was produced for the iPad is June 2011. Issues published after that date are available for individual purchase within the BRIDES iPad app.
Q: Can I share the digital issue with friends?
A: Not at this time, but it is something we are looking into for future issues.
Q: Will the app run on my iPhone/Android/BlackBerry smartphone?
A: The BRIDES iPad app is designed for a larger screen, so unfortunately it won't run on smartphones. We hope to be able to offer digital issues for other devices in the future. In the meantime, check out the BRIDES Wedding Genius.
Q: Why don't all the features work on my device?
A: You may need to update your iPad to a more recent operating system. To do this, connect your iPad to your computer. An iTunes window will appear. Click on your iPad name under "devices" in the left-hand column. A window will pop up with the basic information for your device, as well as the option to update. Click the "update" button and you should be good to go in no time.
SUBSCRIBING TO THE BRIDES APP
Q: Does my print-magazine subscription include access to the app?
A: Yes, access to the iPad edition is included as part of the current print subscription for subscribers in the U.S. and Canada at this time. You can download the app from the App Store at: www.brides.com/ipad.

Q: I am a current print subscriber and would like to get access on my iPad.
A: Download the app from the Apple App Store. Here's how:
1. Tap the red button at the top of the app, under the words "Current Magazine Subscribers."
2. Enter EITHER the name and address on your magazine mailing label OR the account number and zip/postal code of your print subscription. Do not enter both.
3. Next, create a name and password. If you have already registered on brides.com, you can use that login (e-mail and password) by tapping "yes." If you do not have a login, you can create one by tapping "no" and filling in the fields for e-mail address, password, and display name.
4. Tap the "submit" button when steps 1 through 3 are completed.
5. A confirmation page will appear, with instructions to return to the main page of the app and tap "sign in" on the upper-left corner of the page.
6. Enter your login (e-mail and password). Your issues will be available for download.
Q: I entered my subscription information, but nothing is happening.
A: Be sure that you have completed both steps 1 and 2 and tapped the "submit" button.
Q: I tried to create my account, but I received an error message that said, "This e-mail address is already registered" or "This login is already registered."
A: Please try signing in to the app where it says "sign in" on the upper-left corner of the main screen. It is possible that the submit button was tapped more than once and your account was created.
Q: I have a username and password from brides.com, but I don't remember my password. Can I reset my password?
A: You can reset your password on brides.com by tapping the link on the sign-up page within the app, or by visiting www.brides.com/go/forgotpassword.
Q: Is iPad-edition access included for international subscribers of the print edition?
A: Yes! Now all print subscribers have access to the BRIDES iPad-edition.
Q: How much does the BRIDES iPad app cost? Can I subscribe to BRIDES on my iPad?
A: The app itself is free. You can subscribe to the iPad digital edition of BRIDES for $1.99 per month, $9.99 for six months, or $19.99 for an annual subscription. If you are a current print subscriber, unlimited access to the iPad edition of BRIDES is included for the length of your current subscription. Single-issue copies are also available for $5.99.
You can download the BRIDES app from the App Store on your iPad or the iTunes Store at brides.com/ipad.
Q: Can you subscribe to both the print edition and the iPad edition of BRIDES?
A: Yes. By subscribing to the print edition, you automatically gain access to the iPad edition as part of your paid subscription. Just tap on the red button under "Current Print Subscribers" at the top right of the BRIDES app on your iPad.
Q: How are subscriptions renewed?
A: If you purchase a subscription directly through the App Store or your iTunes account, your subscription with Apple will automatically renew until you cancel it.
Q: What do I do if I want to cancel my subscription on my iPad?
A: Your subscription will automatically continue to renew until you cancel it through your iTunes account. If you would like to turn off auto-renew, you can make that change in the "Settings" section of your iPad.
Q: Can you purchase single issues of BRIDES iPad digital edition instead of a subscription?
A: Yes. Single copies are available for $5.99 through the app.

6-month subscription for $9.99, automatically renewed until canceled
1-year subscription for $19.99, automatically renewed until canceled
AUTOMATIC-RENEWAL FEATURE FOR SUBSCRIBERS: Your credit card will automatically be charged for another subscription period unless you change your subscription preferences in your account settings. All subscriptions will automatically renew until canceled.

iOS 5 UPDATE
Q: What is iOS 5?
A: iOS is the Apple's mobile operating system—the software that your iPad runs on. iOS 5 is an update that adds new features and improvements, including changes that affect your BRIDES app.
Q: How do I update my iPad to iOS 5?
A: To get the free iOS 5 software update, just connect your iPad to your Mac or PC, open iTunes, and follow the onscreen instructions.
Q: What is Newsstand?
A: Newsstand is a new feature introduced by Apple that changes the way you access magazines on your iPad. Newsstand is a folder that replaces your BRIDES icon and keeps your subscriptions in one place.
Q: How do I get Newsstand?
A: 1. Get iOS 5 by plugging your iPad into your computer.
2. Tap on your App Store icon and accept the latest update to the BRIDES app.
3. The BRIDES icon on your iPad will disappear—you'll now find BRIDES in your Newsstand folder.
4. Tap the image of our cover to read the latest issue and access your library.
Q: Why is my BRIDES app icon no longer on my screen?
A: Once you install the latest version of the BRIDES app and accept an upgrade to iOS 5, the BRIDES icon on your iPad will disappear. You'll now find BRIDES in your Newsstand folder. To read the latest issue and access your library, just tap the cover.
Q: How do I get my magazine to automatically download?
A: On your iPad, go into your Settings, click on the Store tab, and turn on Automatic Downloads. You'll receive an alert as soon as a new issue is available.
Q: What happens if I don't upgrade to iOS 5?
A: If you do not upgrade to iOS 5, you can continue to access your issues the way you do now.
