What is Custom Fit?

Custom Fit is Brides.com’s virtual fitting room. Custom Fit allows you to “try on” six different wedding-dress styles to see which will flatter your figure best, it will help focus your search online and better prepare you for the bridal salons

How does Custom Fit work?

First, select your body type from the body type illustrations on the left side of the page. Roll over each of the body type images to see a larger view. Click once to select the body type that best matches yours.


Next, you'll need to decide on a dress style. When you're ready, press Submit to see what the gown looks like on your body type.

Use the Play and Pause buttons to get a close look from every angle.

I’m on the Custom Fit page, but the image isn’t loading. Help!

I’m not sure what my body type is. Help!

Hover over each body type image for a closer look at the hourglass, pear, straight, and full-figured models. Use the images and guidelines below to decide which best describes you:

• Hourglass: equally curvy bust and hips, with a narrow waist that’s smaller than your shoulders and hips. Think Catherine Zeta-Jones
• Pear: a bust that’s smaller than the hips, bottom, and thighs. Think Jennifer Lopez
• Straight: slim, with a small bust and no hips. Think Nicole Kidman
• Full-figured: a plus-sized frame with a rounded stomach, hips, thighs, and bottom, and a large bust. Think Bette Midler

How do I change dresses?

Select a new dress image, then click “submit” to see the gown on the model.

How do I change body types?

Click on a new body type, then click "submit."

I’ve found my silhouette and a style I like, how do I find a dress in that style?

We’ve got thousands of dresses in our Wedding Dress Gallery. Click on your silhouette under Browse by Silhouette to browse dresses that suit your body type.
