How do I create my community profile?
Setting up a community profile is fast and easy. Once you're registered, just click on Site Profile at the top of the page. Then, click on the Community Profile link and start creating a personal bio to share with our Community.
Once you have created a profile, you can begin sharing and posting in our Forums.
Community Handle is a fun and anonymous name that identifies you to other members on our message boards. It can be any combination of letters and numbers. .
A signature is part of your Community Profile that appears after every post you to submit to the Community Forum. It can be simple text, an image, or smiley faces -- it's all up to you. A wedding countdown ticker is a fun and popular choice.
How do I share albums with the community?
Albums are a great way to share your thoughts on styles, ideas and just about anything you want to discuss. To create an album go to the Images section of My Clippings and press Create an Album. Be sure to check the box next to Share with My Community Profile on the Album Settings page to make the album visible on your Community Profile.
What are the ground rules for posting in the Brides.com forums?
Brides.com community members are expected to show sensitivity and good manners. Calling people names, making fun of posts, or making any other disrespectful remarks is not tolerated. Posts with insulting messages will be deleted by our moderators.

Press the Post a New Thread button at the top of a topic forum page. Then, enter your subject, message, and press Post. If you're looking for help from brides near you, don't forget to select a location.
How do I reply to a message in a thread?
Press the Reply button within the post. Then, enter your message and press Preview to see what your post looks like. When you are ready, press Post to submit your reply.
New forums can only be created by the Brides.com moderators, but you can always make suggestions.
How do I know if someone has responded to my post?
You can choose to receive an e-mail notification whenever someone responds to your posts. Just click on Settings and answer Yes next to "Always watch threads I create?".
Watch List is a way to keep track of activity in your favorite forums and threads, or by specific users. You will receive an e-mail notification whenever there is new activity from your watch list. Go to your Settings page to specify whether you want to receive notifications daily, every other day, weekly or monthly.
To watching a forum, click the Watch This Forum link at the top of any forum.
To watching a thread, click the Watch This Thread link at the top of any thread page.
To watching a user, click on the Watch this User link below a user's community handle within any post.
How do I see local threads for my region?
The local filter allows you to see messages from your area. To filter a forum by location, use the Show Threads by Location drop-down menu at the top of the thread list.
Create a local post by checking "The Subject of This Thread is Local" and choosing your location whenever you post a new thread. We encourage you to tag your threads as local whenever appropriate. Don't worry -- marking a thread as local does not prevent community members in other areas from seeing your post.
How do I send a private message?
You can send private messages directly to your fellow brides in the community. Press the Send Message button next to a community handle, compose your message, and press Send. Click on the Messages link at the top of the page so see your incoming messages.
