Flora’s Peter Som gown, purchased at Henri Bendel, was actually the second one she bought. "I had another dress already chosen," says the bride, who changed her mind after her final fitting. Julian wore a suit from Seize sur Vingt.

"We loved that we could have our ceremony in the round lobby with everyone sitting around us," says Flora. The couple exchanged vows beneath a metal arch made wedding-worthy with gauzy ribbons and candles by Jorge Cazzorla.

Over 2,000 feathers were used to create the canopy that hung over the dance floor at Cipriani 23rd Street. Flora was inspired by a similar arrangement she saw once during a previous visit to the Art Deco space, and florist and event designer Jorge Cazzorla, of Celebrate Flowers, created this one to match her description.

The couple’s 160 guests, who came from around the globe (Julian’s family traveled from Brunei and Australia), danced to a mix of pop and Russian tunes chosen to reflect Flora’s heritage.
