The bride wore a satin gown with an Alençon lace bodice and tucked a fragrant gardenia behind her ear. Her gown, custom-made by a family friend, was inspired by photographs of old Hollywood starlets. Brent’s Calvin Klein tuxedo was from President Tuxedo in Rochester, and his tie was by BCBG.

Amanda and Brent exchanged vows in the theater’s lobby in front of a dramatic curtain which was constructed from taffeta purchased at Haberman Fabrics.

Amanda’s six bridesmaids wore kiwi-green dresses by Jim Hjelm in different styles they selected themselves, and carried lush bouquets of hot-pink peonies arranged by Viviano Flower Shop.

The theater’s stage was transformed into a dance floor, and all the guests were on their feet as disc jockey Mary Ann Ross spun tunes. "I think everyone secretly wishes they could dance onstage at one point in their lives," Amanda says. "This was their opportunity!"

Table numbers were placed in frames (similar ones are available at partyspotshop.com) next to boxes of sweets, from Truan’s Chocolates, and vases of orchids by VS Flowers. The vases were custom-made in Thailand by the bride’s parents, who own an import shop.
