The wedding was held on the Archer Taylor Preserve, owned by the Napa County Land Trust. The couple wrote and performed their own vows. "We wanted the focus of our ceremony to be on the two of us," says Rebecca.

For the guest book, Rebecca pasted mini envelopes from Paper Source into a Kolo photo album embellished with dogwood ink-stamps. Guests wrote messages to the couple on tiny cards, and then placed them in the envelopes.

Since many of their guests have dogs, the couple handed out treats from the Polka Dog Bakery in Boston—owned by the bride's brother—as an extra thank you.

The couple's caterer, Gina Moy, whipped up several drinks to match the wedding's color scheme, including guava lemonade rimmed with yellow sugar. All 115 guests dined on Mexican fare, inspired by the three months Rebecca and Mark spent sailing in Mexico.

The chocolate cake with mocha cream cheese frosting was baked by the Prolific Oven in Palo Alto, but was assembled and decorated by friends of the couple at the Preserve. The sugar dogwood flowers were made by a family friend's niece who lives in the Philippines.

The post-reception pool party was held at the nearby house of family friends. Their donkeys, Sophia and Maria, were in attendance too. "The kids had a great time feeding them carrots," says Rebecca.
