Warisa and Johnny in Rutherford, CA

Warisa's gown was custom-made by San Francisco designer Jin Wang. "I've wanted one of her dresses since I was little," says Warisa, whose dream dress was an ivory strapless taffeta gown with a scrunched taffeta bodice and an A-line skirt. With it, Warisa wore her mother's pearls, which she had shortened; the extra pearls were made into drip earrings. Johnny wanted a classic look, so he chose a two-button tuxedo from Nordstrom. On his cuff links, he wore the initials of his late mother—K.T. for Katy Tai.

Warisa's five bridesmaids wore white tea-length dresses by Watters and Watters with a lavender hydrangea print and purple ribbons at the waist.

San Francisco floral designer Michael Daigan created arrangements in the couple's colors—ivory, lavender and green. Each table had a centerpiece made up of a single kind of flower (ivory roses, green hydrangeas); the tables were named for the flowers. Guests found their seats by picking up small pails of flowers marked with their names and the names of their tables.

To keep guests cool in the summer sun, the couple provided parasols, and a Sno-Kone machine whipped up frosty treats during the cocktail hour.

Guests dined on filet mignon and pecan-crusted halibut under the twinkle lights and lush green vines. The handmade silk flower that adorned Warisa's updo was provided by her hair and makeup stylist, Darlene Carlson.
