Brett and Justin in Chicago, IL

Two landscape architects hold an "urban prairie" wedding that reflects their shared passion for design and an autumnal color scheme of goldenrod yellow and chocolate brown.

The bride and groom posed for wedding photographs in the Lurie Garden at Millennium Park before the ceremony. "The garden is meant to be an ‘urban prairie’ and was codesigned by Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, a landscape architect we both really admire," says Brett. "Plus, Chicago is our favorite city and I love that the skyline was also captured in the background." The bride wore a strapless silk Paloma Blanca gown purchased from A L’Amour in Barrington; Justin’s suit was from AfterHours Formalwear.
