Julie and Rich plunged into wedding planning, choosing bright colors with an emphasis on red to honor their heritages (Rich is Mexican-American and Julie is Taiwanese) and accent their black-and-white ensembles. They chose to be married at the Dallas Arboretum in the rose-filled Jonsson Color Garden. A string quartet played as Julie's parents escorted her down a grassy aisle. Underneath a bamboo pergola adorned with bunches of deep-red roses, Julie and Richard exchanged vows in a touching ceremony. Julie wore a sleek Selia Yang white-organza strapless A-line dress and purchased her veil at a small store in New York's fashion district.
