"My father gave the most thoughtful toast, describing the life of the cardinal, a bird that mates for life. As he continued with his analogy, at one point, he paused, becoming teary-eyed. He stared at my mother, grasped her hand, and then took a deep breath and smiled at me. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the moment and was even more moved by the depth of love between my parents, evident in the simple-yet-meaningful look they exchanged. I'm honored that Fred and I now have the opportunity to create our own love story."
