Shannon and David wanted to personalize their religious ceremony. They created a rope ceremony based on scripture that describes how three cords are stronger than two individual ones. The pastor held a white rope, which he entwined with ropes in two different shades of brown held by the bride and groom. The couple also elected to take communion and then offered it to each of their guests. "This allowed us to see every single person at the wedding, one by one," says Shannon.
