- Question:
- My fianc351? and I would like to get our table linens monogrammed. But aren't sure how it should read. What's the right design?
- Answer:
"Tradition aside, you have to live with what makes you comfortable," says Susan Miller, vice president of signature services at Saks Fifth Avenue. "Some people use the initials of their first names separated by an ampersand or design motif; other couples separate their first-name initials with a larger letter representing their shared surname. Still others prefer a one-letter monogram that stands for their last name." Miller recommends selecting a font (typeface) that suits the style and fabric of your linens. "You don't want heavy, block-style letters embroidered on a filmy overlay." --Paula Rackow
