Who knew there were so many ways to show off your registry china?
Pitcher Perfect
Stylish serving pieces can also be used as chic containers. We fashioned a centerpiece from Lady's slipper orchids, ferns, sarracenia, anemones and horsetail in a "Naxos" hot-beverage server, $236; creamer, $109; and covered sugar bowl, $132; on a rectangular cake platter, $150, all from Bernardaud, bernardaud.fr. Floral design by LMD Floral, NYC, lmdfloral.com.
Storied Romance
A pretty china pattern can be enjoyed off the table as well. Spruce up your living room shelves with "Medusa d'Or" bookends, $285 each, from Versace for Rosenthal, rosenthalchina.com. A magnolia leaf book, galax leaf book and moss book with birch, bark and butterfly embellishments make naturally artful accents. Floral design by Nina Glucksman for Jane Packer, NYC, janepacker.com.
Flight of Fancy
Filled with white cattleya orchids, this "Incanto" covered soup tureen, $326, from Vietri, vietri.com, becomes a lush table arrangement. A few silver lovebirds, lightly dusted with crystals for a subtle shimmer, make whimsical additions. Floral design by Nina Glucksman for Jane Packer, NYC, janepacker.com.
Guiding Lights
This striking "Free Spirit" candelabra, $300, from Rosenthal, rosenthalchina.com, becomes an elegant design element when surrounded by semperviums, succulents and smilax vine. Floral design by LMD Floral, NYC, lmdfloral.com.
Bowled Over
For a contemporary twist, the traditional cornucopia display can be turned upside down. A decorative porcelain piece, like this "White Full Lace" footed bowl, $395, from Royal Copenhagen, 800-431-1992, rests atop a bed of roses with a few cascading blooms. Sacha, el toro, tamango, heat, milano and Black Baccara roses are dramatic color choices. Floral design by LMD Floral, NYC, lmdfloral.com.
Dressed to a Tea
Rosita Vendela roses, blush peonies, pink ranunculus and tuberose transform this "Petal" teapot, $300; and cappuccino cups and saucers, $75 for set of two, both from Wedgwood, wwusa.com, into dreamy display pieces. Floral design by Nina Glucksman for Jane Packer, NYC, janepacker.com.
