Your wedding cake will be the centerpiece of your reception. Usually placed near the band or next to the bride and groom's table, your guests will get to look at this beautiful work of art up until you and your new hubby cut the cake together. Whatever season you are saying "I do" in you can have your cake adorned with beautiful blooms that compliment both that time of year as well as the flowers in your bridal bouquet and centerpieces. This three tier wedding cake is covered in white rolled fondant and decorated with sugar hydrangeas and blue sugar ribbon embossed to look like grosgrain. Wedding Wisdom: Ask your baker if she can provide real flowers for your cake or if she’ll need to work with your florist to get the right blooms. If you are supplying the flowers, make sure you order/purchase pesticide-free flowers.

Let your bridal bouquet inspire your wedding cake. This Lily of the Valley bouquet, made from over 100 sugar flowers, is held together with a satin ribbon and embellished with a pearl pin. Purple has been spotted as one of the hot colors for weddings in the last few years, and this cake would be the perfect complement to your purple palette. Six stacked round tiers covered in ivory fondant, are adorned with a spiral cascade of sugar flowers in hues of purples and mauves. For a pair of love birds looking for the perfect wedding cake, this pale aqua-blue fondant covered cake with doves in a 'love nest' cake topper is the ideal design. Created for a wedding with an English Garden theme, this five tier cake was the centerpiece at an outdoor reception held on a countryside estate in August.
