Brides.com: Without giving the dress details away, what style bride would you say you are, and how is that reflected in your choice?
Ivanka Trump: I would say I am a traditional/classic bride. This style is translated in my dress and jewelry choice.
You’ve been photographed in some amazing gowns in the past. Where did you turn to for wedding dress inspiration?
I have always wanted a traditional and classic gown that reflected my sense of style, so it was only natural that Grace Kelley was my inspiration.
When it came to choosing your wedding gown, did you know exactly what type of dress you wanted before you started shopping?
I am leaving it to Vera Wang to create something spectacular. Three fittings later we are getting close!
Bridesmaid dresses can be a touchy subject. What was your approach to bridesmaid dresses—all the same dress or variations on color and silhouette?
Carolina Herrera is dressing my bridesmaids in individual designs; but with the same color and fabric I’ve selected.
Will you have a “something blue” on your wedding day?
Of course…I will also have something new, something old and something borrowed. What those somethings are yet, I don’t know!
How do you plan on accessorizing your wedding dress? Are you planning on wearing a veil?
My dress would be incomplete without the veil. (Let’s just say, I’m making it my own.)
What’s most important when choosing a wedding dress? That it look good in pictures, that you feel most comfortable, that it fits perfectly?
All of the above…but with an emphasis on comfort. I plan to dance all night!
