Daniel and Coleen Yantis have been hosting events for over 15 years. They are experienced entertainers specializing in weddings. They use the latest equipment in all their event packages. "We pride ourselves on 'top notch' performances and having every requested song title." Depending on your needs, our Master of Ceremony will announce your entire event. We will announce your arrival, the wedding party and your special guests. Then, after guests associate, we can guide your event through dinner plans, cutting the cake and making toasts. From the first dance, to the last dance, smooth sailing all the way. Let our experienced speaker take care of you. Then again, you may want us to just play music, it's entirely up to you!

What is your usual attire?
Depends on the Bride & Groom's request. If it is semi-casual event than black shirt and slacks. If formal event than we have long sleeves and vest.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
We provide CD music for your ceremony. Samples can be listened to on our website ceremony page.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
We like to start setting up 2 hours before the event start time.
How much space do you usually require?
We need very little space for the ceremony system setup. Normally we bring a 4 foot table.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
We travel up to 100 miles from downtown Austin (78701). You can see the map on our website.

Review: I would just like to let someone know of the poor experience we had with D & C Entertainment. I keep seeing all these wonderful reviews about them, but for my reception, they weren't so wonderful. We gave them a detailed timeline of how the events were to take place during the reception, went over the pronunciation of names for the wedding party, bride and groom with the DJ (Trenda) the night before the wedding; however, the DJ (who was not Daniel or Colleen) did not stick to the timeline, added some of her own music to the list, and butchered the names of the bridal party, bride, and groom. Daniel arranged the bridal party prior to the introductions (which he clearly does not have a grasp on handling crowds). No one was listening to what he was trying to do. The DJ, Trenda, made a disaster out of the introduction I put together... She had to continue turning off the music to announce who the members of the bridal party and families were b/c she could not talk over the music. She did not have a loud enough voice. She seemed to cater well to the kiddos and played kid music, but that was not what we asked for. Additionally, we were charged an additional fee of $150 for the extra time we asked for and was told we would get 2 extra speakers for the room because apparently the DJ did not realize that our venue was as big as it was (even though from the very beginning we told him where we were having the reception). The DJ did not stay for the extra time b/c they were not needed, nor did they use the 2 extra speakers that were promised. I am very disappointed with D & C Entertainment and I will NOT be recommending them to my friends. The one positive thing I have to say is that all our guests seemed to enjoy themselves and were not aware of what we were aware of from the DJ.

Review: Coleen was the DJ for our wedding on 7/28/11 and she was great. Daniel was also there helping out all evening. These two did an amazing job. From adjusting the lighting package for us because we were suppose to have a guest that couldn't do strobe lights, to their awesome online client portal that made everything soooooo easy for us to use. We did our music request list online, a time line, and some other options that just made the process very smooth. I put a lot of trust in these two since I lived in a different city I had booked the services and hadn't even met them until the month before my wedding :) They did an excellent job and I would hire them again! Review: If you want an OVER THE TOP party you will not go wrong with Daniel and Coleen! We are from Wisconsin and hired them for our daughter's wedding at Red Corral Ranch in Wimberley online. Review: Colleen and the D&C staff did a great job at our wedding! She came into the bride's quarters to let me know she was there and setting up (with plenty of time before the event started). They set up and did the music for the ceremony (which was awesome!) and quickly set up for the reception. Not only was Colleen responsive to my guest's requests, but she was also on-top of announcing all the events on time! Because of her efficiency, we never once faltered from our schedule and everything went as planned. Colleen was polite and a fantastic DJ - I highly recommend her and her group to anyone needing a reliable and great DJ!

Review: I guess you get what you pay for. Granted its been awhile since I was married (12/2005), but when I hired D & C (which was a husband/wife group at the time) I met with the husband. Everything seemed great and he seemed like he would be a wonderful DJ. He told me he, along with his wife would be at the wedding. On the day of our final meeting, they completely forgot to meet with me. I ended waiting 45 minutes and then called them. Colleen was completely oblivious to our meeting, but she did finally meet me that day 1 1/2 hours late.They were late arriving at the reception site, the husband that I originally met with was not there, and Colleen mispronounced all the names during introductions. During dinner, there was this earsplitting screech that came from the speakers that lasted a couple of seconds. Overall it was pretty horrible.
