The lawns and Victorian Carriage house at Woodburn Plantation allows the bride to plan the outdoor wedding of her dreams without "Big City" prices. Woodburn Historic House, c.1830, is a majestic 4-story plantation house on a 10-acre site that is operated by the Pendleton Historic Foundation as a house museum. Conviently located just off US76 in historic Pendleton, the grounds of Woodburn provide a beautiful outdoor setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions of all sizes in an authentic historical setting. The house museum will be open during the reception for guests to tour through the main floor.
The most popular site for wedding ceremonies at Woodburn is in front of the Victorian Carriage house with a brick patio and pathway leading to it for the bridal party. Many brides have also select the front steps of the plantation house or in the open lawn at the rear of the main house. The choise is yours!
The Foundation bases its grounds rental rates on the number of guests anticipated and the length of time needed. Most popular is the 8-hour package on the day of the event for up to 150 guests. There is a slight premium for each extra 100 guests up to a maximum of 400 guests. The Foundation offers an hourly rate with a 3-hr minium and a 5-hr maximum for weddings of less than 50 people.
