Truly Scrumptious kindly requests a 50% deposit to reserve a date with the remainder due two weeks prior to the wedding. Two to three months notice for weddings and at least one week for other occasions is appreciated so that Cathy may give each customer the personal attention she is known for. What are your tasting hours? By appointment only. Truly Scrumptious prides itself on customer service. We cannot provide good service for walk-ins. Our staff is very well trained, and there are very few of us. During our normal business hours we are working on cakes which must be finished by a certain date and time. Therefore, we are not free to assist any walk ins.

Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes? The pricing is driven by the artwork, size and shape of the cake, and flavors of both the cake and filling. In short, the pricing is determined by the amount of labor needed to complete the cake from start to finish, as well as the cost of the ingredients.

Does the price include the top tier of the cake? It depends.

Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles? We offer custom cakes. We do not copy other cake artist's work. We personalize every cake created at Truly Scrumptious.

What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes? We use a number of imported items in our cakes. When fresh local produce is available, we will buy local.

On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake? The cake is baked a maximum of 2 days in advance. We never freeze any of our products, as Truly Scrumptious is not a commercial bakery. When prospective clients as if we freeze our cakes, I show them our "freezer", which consists of 2 very small drawers in the cafe under the counter. It becomes very obvious that we do not have the freezer capacity to freeze any of our products.

How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend? This is a company secret; although if there are cakes scheduled with a great deal of artwork involved, there will be very few cakes made at Truly Scrumptious that weekend.

Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake? We have a list of preferred florists. It has been our experience that there are some florists are better than others. We have witnessed a few disasters due to poor quality of flowers provided by a very few florist business owners. That being said, not many clients do not contract florists from our list.

Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee? We offer delivery. The fee depends upon the destination (number of miles, difficulty reaching the destination, how far the cake must be taken from the vehicle to the venue; ie, number of stairs, doors to open, available assistance from staff at the venue.
