How many photographers do you work with?
Timeweavers' consists of two primary photographers and contract second-shooters on an as needed basis
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, typically both of the primary shooters will be in attendance. If by chance only one primary is available, a contract second-shooter would attend, but this would be discussed with the bride and groom prior to the event.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We book only one event in a day, but have on occasion, booked more than one wedding in a weekend (one Friday night, another on Saturday or Sunday)
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, we have a relationship with other photographers who could replace us in case of an emergency. This would have to be an extreme emergency, however, since we take our obligation to our brides and grooms very seriously.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
A camera for each shooter, plus at least one back-up camera for each shooter. Speedlights and back-up speedlights. A variety of lenses. For the formal shots of large families, we also bring a softbox and a reflective umbrella. Lots of batteries and memory cards.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely. It is inevitable that someday, some equipment will mal-function, so we make sure we have plenty of backup equipment.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
For the typical wedding, we charge hourly. If a bride is having only a small, family event, we will come to an agreement for an hourly cost.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
On the day of the event, "extra hours" are built in, since we offer "complete wedding coverage". IF the bride and groom want our services for the rehearsal or for another day surrounding the wedding date, we charge $50 an hour for one photographer.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We do not expect the bride and groom to provide a meal for us. We make sure that we bring plenty of snacks and water with us. While everyone is eating, we take about a half hour break.
Do you charge for travel?
We only charge for travel if the event is outside of a 100-mile radius of our home.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
That depends on our workload and the number of photos taken at the event. We get the proofs back to the bride and groom as soon as we possibly can.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We load the photos to a photo sharing website and password protect the folder. The bride and groom may see the proofs and share the password with friends and family.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proofs are on the website for at least 6 months.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, but we do give the bride and groom permission to print photos from the DVD that is presented to them.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, our wedding contract stipulates that we may use the photos for promotional purposes.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes (please see above). We provide digital negatives to the couple.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes (please see above)
What kind of albums do you offer?
For our $1500 package, the bride and groom receive a 25-page magazine style photo book ( 8" x 12" album). For the $2500 package, the couple receives a 30-page photo book with lay-flat, hinged pages (12" x 12" album)
When will the client get the final album?
As soon as the couple gives final approval of the album's design. The couple has the opportunity to review the album and offer suggestions. The album is not printed until the bride and groom approve the album.
