Located in the Van Buren Township, just minutes from Detroit Metropolitan airport, you will find The Woodlands, a Jerry Matthews designed golf course - with its perfectly manicured grounds and handsomely appointed interiors it is the ideal location for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception Features at The Woodlands
The outdoor ceremony site features a white archway flanked by rose bushes and charming gazebo, that is surrounded by lush, mature trees. Set with white wedding chairs on either side of a brick path, the spot is perfect setting for saying I do! The rolling emerald fairways and plentiful water features provide extensive photo possibilities throughout the course.
With the ability to accommodate a guest list of up to 300, The Woodlands banquet facility features three luxuriously appointed banquet rooms, each with panoramic golf course views. The tastefully decorated interiors are easily customized with colorful linens and floral arrangements.
A bridal suite is available for the bridal party for your convenience.

The professional catering and events team will help plan every detail from a custom-designed menu to innovative decorating options. The Executive Chef will customize a menu that will compliment your event, ensuring a celebratory meal that will please even the most discerning tastes.

How does your venue determine the cost of the space?
Depends on the day , date , year, the vision, and the event. We are very creative and resourceful and can help you every step of the way. Our goal is to orchestrate your "Special Moment" and what your vision is.
Do you offer any special services?
We have special packages that we are offering for 2012 and a referral program if you refer another couple to the Woodlands and they book their Wedding here.

Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?
We can provide out door gazebo chairs, chair covers, hanging plants, bottled water for the guests if the weather is warm, and the list goes on. We can provide them at a reasonable cost to the Bride and Groom.
Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?
We have standard linen, china, flatware, crystal and centerpieces that are included in the rental of the room.
What is your staff-to-guest ratio?
It depends if the Bride and Groom are hosting a sit-down served meal , family style, or a buffet. It varies with each event.
Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?
We do not require vendors from a specific list, however we supply couples with a list of suggestions of many if they need some assistance.
Do you require the client to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is that an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians?
The client is responsible for bringing in their own musicians. Again we can help the Bride and Groom every step of the way.
Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?
Bridal Suite for the Bride and her attendants.

we have many power outlets.
What restrictions (if any) on decorations?
We do not allow any decorations to be affixed to the walls of the facility, and that glitter, confetti, rice and birdseed are not permitted.

Yes, we are able to host a Banquet and a Golf outing at the same time.
