The David Mack Band Ct's most versatile Dance Band Roots, Rock, Reggae R & B and Motown Going into its 14th year of existence the Dave Mack Band has acquired a new group of people , and an almost completely new songlist, never forgetting your old school favorites. Lead Vocals & Guitar - David Mack Dave Mack, a 20 plus year veteran, toured during the early 80's with Samaki & the Variation's in support of the hit single "Can't stop the break". In the early 90's Dave traveled with legendary "Cool Runnings reggae band" in support of their album "Don Garrgon". Cool Runnings was voted by the Hartford Advocates reader choice poll as "Best Reggae Band" 5 years straight. In 96 Dave formed Funk Food and in 97 they won the readers choice poll for "Hartford's Best Funk Band". Soon after the Band changed its name to The Dave Mack Band. Dave recorded produced and wrote the bands first album in 99. 14 Grooves sold over 6000 copies throughout CT. The group now performs in support its latest cd "One Man, One Guitar, Allstyles". Variety is this groups specialty. Be it classic or current, The new line up can authentically steer the band in any musical direction. Drums - David Henry David is probably the most versatile and professional drummers in the state of Ct. He helps take care of our production needs and assists' in the management Dave Mack band. As owner and proprietor of New England Music (485 New Park Ave W.Hartford Ct.) much of the bands equipment and maintenance is personally taken care of by him . David is also a 20 plus year veteran and did all the bookings, management and drumming for Cool runnings. Dave has also played with The Jon Pousette Dart Band, Bates Motel, The Brian McDonald Band, Burt Teague, Jeff Pitchell and many other bands in the New England area. Dave H and Dave M are the primary forces of this band. Bass - Dennis Martinez Dennis has been a member of the band since 2005. A graduate of the University of Hartford school of music, his knowledge of various styles serves the versatility of the band well in all given genres. A pupil of the legendary Nat Reeves, Dennis playing professionalism and playing are far beyond that of someone in his youthful years. Sax - Cleveland Horton Better know as Cleveland from "Chicago". Well versed in Alto, Soprano, and Tenor. He plays with the heart of Ohio and the sound of Chicago. Trumpet - Scott Haber Scott plays sweet melodic trumpet lines without the blare or harshness that many trumpet players have. He also plays flugelhorn, and has been a regular fixture with Brass Attack and a regular host of the famous Black Eyed Sallies open mic. Percussion, Background vocals - Gregg Allen. Gregg has been seen with pretty much everybody in the state, Including Jamo's All stars, and list of players too long for this paragraph. A 30 plus year veteran Gregg has been affectionately called The "yoda" of The Dave Mack Universe. Vocals - Mrs Myra Mack The newest member of the band is Dave's wife of 12 years .Myra has a very exciting list of songs. Although new to the music business, her vibrant style and stage personality adds flare and sexiness to the band. Myra is available upon request for mostly private functions and wedding receptions, but has been known to show up to some occasional the club dates. Music and musicians are the key to keeping people happy, interested, and socially interactive in the United States of America. That is David Macks Job!
