Description: The DC Transit Band is a 10 piece dance band featuring the fabulous vocals of Lindsay Diles and Josh Alfred embelished by a four piece horn section and anchored in a veteran rhythm section. We play a wide variety of popular dance music and our repertoire is packed with frequently requested songs at weddings, dances, and corporate events. We offer a high quality Jazz Quartet to entertain your guests during the cocktail hour. For your dinner, we can offer an excellent easy listening dinner set sure to please folks of all ages. And when it's time to dance, we can keep 'em on the floor for the remainder of the night! We'll work with you to plan the entire reception program. From your grand entrance and announcement of the Bridal Party, we can tailor the entire reception to meet your needs. We'll work with you to select your First Dance, the Mother & Son Dance, the Father a& Daughter Dance, and the Last Dance. We have special songs for the Cake Cutting, the Garter Throw, and the Boquett Toss. Formed on 9 January 2011, with the vision of becoming a Wedding / Corporate Events and Festivals Band. We rehearse in Mannas, VA and our members reside throughout Northern Virginia and Maryland. Most of our musicians are teachers and have degrees from prestigious schools. We pride ourselves on giving you our best so your wedding or event will be a great memory for the rest of your life. Live music will make your event special. Selecting our band will be one of the easiest and best decisions you'll make.
