Description:
Stephanie Baker (yes, thats her real name!) is an alumni of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and has been a professional pastry chef since 1992. Serving the northern Virginia and DC metro area, her custom order cake shop specializes in custom wedding cakes, cupcakes and sculptured cakes.
Nothing here is mass produced. Every creation is hand crafted, from scratch, especially for you - from the time it goes into the oven until it is proudly displayed on your table.
Wedding cakes start at $7 per serving. Delivery to most of the DC metro area is $50. Included in the purchase price of a wedding cake is a voucher for a complimentary 6" cake redeemable on your first anniversary.
Bakery hours are Tues-Fri 10-6. Prrivate tastings scheduled during these times. After hours or weekend appointments can be available although my availability is more limited.

Private tastings are scheduled Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 11 am and 6:30 pm. By appointment.

Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
With your purchase price, you will receive a voucher for an additional six inch cake redeemable on your first anniversary.
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
Every cake made by Stephanie the Baker is custom made - from start to finish.
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
Two to four. Orders are restricted by time and distance so that your cake can be given the attention it deserves - from the time it goes into the oven until it is displayed at your reception.
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Yes.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
There is a delivery fee of $40 for most of the Washington DC area.
