Hi! My name is Rev. Emily Jean Mefford and I am an Ohio Wedding Officiant. I specialize in professional, affordable and experienced wedding ceremonies. From large wedding ceremonies to small elopements I have packages that fit everyone's needs and budget.
From small bride and groom ceremonies to large venues we can customize a ceremony to fit your needs. With many different ceremonies to choose from and the option to write your own it's not the same old cookie cutter ceremony people have seen a hundred times.
If you are looking for a candle ceremony, sand ceremony, wine box or any other tradition we can do that!
Holidays are never extra and same day elopements are available.

Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?
No
Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?
Yes, most of my ceremonies are done outdoors or in halls. Some are even done at the bride and grooms house.
What is your attire for the ceremony?
I wear a black skirt suit or black dress. This way I do not clash with your wedding colors
Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?
Absolutely! Every bride choses their own wedding ceremony. They know exactly what is going to be said weeks in advance and can change whatever they want.
Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?
Absolutely!
Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?
I use a wedding "menu." This has all the different parts of the ceremonies listed and options for each.
How long are your ceremonies?
Between 15 and 20 minutes long is the average ceremony. I find that is about the attention span of the guests.
Do you require that premarital counseling be done?
No
Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?
Absolutely! I provide rehearsals for an additional fee.
Do you supply a sound system?
No
