We pride ourselves in creating bright, clear, high quality images that capture all the authenticity of your wedding day. We are very open and flexible, and are more than happy to cater to your unique needs. We offer different options so that all types of couples can create their own wedding perfectly; from the timing and location, down to how you would like to display and showcase the memories of this important day. All options include a personal gallery on our website, complimentary reception cards (with engagement session), and high resolution files. Engagement sessions are available and highly encouraged. Do you have liability insurance? Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning? All images are shot in high quality, full colour digital form. They are processed to be clean, bright, clear, and consistent. In other words, no super trendy or super vintaged files, just timeless images.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? Yes. Sweetheart Empire wedding photographers use professional equipment including lenses and lighting that allows us to produce technically correct images even in challenging situations.
Is your media preference film or digital? Sweetheart Empire wedding photographers primarily use digital media, but Kate is also experienced and knowledgeable in both black & white, and colour film photography if requested.
How many photographers do you work with? We are a small local business working with two primary photographers and up to two photographers per event. Additional photographers can be requested for very large events.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? Yes. Kate O'Connor will be at your event, with a second professional photographer, and sometimes with an assistant.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend? No. Sweetheart Empire wedding photographers are dedicated to YOUR wedding and give you our undivided attention for the duration of your booking, whether it be one day, or a whole weekend. Because couples often want us to stay overtime we must turn down multiple bookings in one day.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? Yes. It is included in the Sweetheart Empire contract that if an emergency arises and Kate becomes unavailable, a replacement photographer will be arranged.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of? All equipment is high end, professional level Canon: two camera bodies, three + lenses, two flashes, batteries and chargers, and then additional nerdy lighting and photography toys.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction? Yes, see above - always two!
Do you charge hourly or full day? Pricing options are arranged by the number of hours, and with differing print credits (for albums and canvases). Please visit the website for details.
Do you charge for travel? Yes, there is a fee for travel more than 50km outside the City of Toronto.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing? Approximately three to four weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered? The initial proofs are 4 x 6 inch prints.
How long can the client keep the proofs? The proofs are included in all Sweetheart Empire photography packages, for you to keep and show to your family and friends.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos? Yes.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos? Yes, however this is per individual couple. Creating an amazing wedding photography experience for you - that is our #1 priority; displaying your gorgeous wedding images in our portfolio is second to that.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client? Yes. Currently all packages include copies of high resolution digital files.
Will images be available for viewing online? Yes. Images can be viewed in a personal gallery that you may share with your family and friends.
What kind of albums do you offer? We offer various album, book, and print styles, to match with your personal style and preference. Please contact us for more details.
