Description: We are a ten piece band that consists of two male vocalists, two female vocalists, guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, trumpet and saxophone. Our instrumentation and diverse vocalists allow us to play a wide variety of musical styles. We provide a high energy dance party and our goal is to keep your dance floor packed all night long! We play continuous music throughout the party, which means no breaks and no Cds unless you wanted that for some reason. We play whats appropriate for whats happening during the party, so we keep it mellow during dinner time. Hopefully you get a chance to explore our web site and browse our song list. In addition to the songs you see there, we will learn up to three songs for your party. Our band manager, Phaedra will handle all of the pre-party planning with you and during the party and would be the person that acts as emcee and coordinates with your other vendors. That way, you can relax and enjoy the fun with your family and friends and not worry about the little details. Our packages consist of a duo of piano or guitar, accompanied by a horn, for your cocktail hour and the full ten piece band for a four hour reception. Renaissance has been in business for over nine years and during that time we have built a stellar reputation of professionalism, service and exceptional talent. Do you have liability insurance? Yes
What is your band's usual attire? Always black tie, unless requested otherwise.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs? We have CDs available and we offer live showcases monthly.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know? Yes, we will learn up to three new songs in addition to our vast repetoire.
How much time do you usually need for setup? Ideally 2-3 hours, but a set-up can be accomplished in 1 hour if need be.
How much space do you usually require? Ideally 12'x24', but we can accommodate most spaces. We can always make it work.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? We use music stands that have our name and logo on the front.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? We provide lighting for the stage. Any room or dance floor lighting should be contracted through your venue.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs? Emcee, yes. No extraneous chatter, just GREAT music!
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? We respect the fact that during dinner, people like to converse with the guests at their table, so we play tasteful and appropriate music to facilitate that. The motivation for people to dance is popular songs, played the way you are used to hearing them. That's all the inspiration we've ever seen any of our parties need.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? We will NOT take a full band break, but we do require a meal. Our musicians rotate a dinner break while you and your guests are having dinner.
Do you play recorded music during your break? No, because we play continuous music. We have the ability to play recorded music by request.
What is your overtime rate? $1000 per 1/2 hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? Varies if over 70 miles from Center City Phila.
What is the required deposit to secure your services? We require a $1000.00 deposit to secure a date.
