Raising Cain specializes in extraordinary weddings! When you're looking for that special, exceptional wedding that rises above the ordinary, we are your vendor. Though we're new to Wedding Wire, we've been playing spectactular weddings since 2001.
In 2011, Raising Cain was awarded "Best Variety Band in the Nation" (out of 10,000 groups considered) by the largest online booking site in the U.S. In 2010, Raising Cain, alone, was selected by the White House Social Director to play for President Obama and 1,000 guests at a gala, black-tie event in Denver. (More than 50 Colorado bands were considered.)
Ultra-fun dance party receptions are our specialty! Rather than just playing "one type" of music, we pride ourselves in covering no less than 10 styles of music really, really well. From ultra modern pop, to 80s, to funk, disco, classic rock, Motown, and country, we play it all and we play it great.
With a band like Raising Cain, you get a packed dance floor and epic receptions! Can you say big fun?!
We feature two extraordinary lead singers - one male, one female. So we cover an incredible amount of music by both male and female popular artists, backed by drums, bass, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and keyboards.
We can play your ceremony, too. Three out of five people in the core group are classically trained musicians, doubling on classical violin, classical guitar, and classical piano. This classical subgroup of ours is called The Adagio Strings. We can also arrange a full string quartet if you prefer.
As a result, Raising Cain is your "one stop solution" for all your music needs!
We can also add horns as an option for an additional fee (saxophone, trumpet and trombone or any combination thereof).
