Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
We do...however, only for promotional events and not very often
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We provide our own sound that is sufficient for most small to medium venues. Due to the nature of our bands most people do not want flashing or extensive lighting. A gentle warm wash on the band is perfect.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
We emcee as much as is needed and interact with the guests as appropriate between and/or during songs.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
Depending upon the event and the wishes of our client we encourage thru performance and appropriately on microphone or go out into the audience when appropriate. The entertainment value of the orchestra's performance takes care of everyone: those who want to dance, those who just want to visit and those who want to sit and be entertained.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We take breaks around our client's schedule of events which is worked out beforehand. We are flexible, though, as sometimes the timing of the events may not flow exactly with the schedule. Yes, we do ask that the client provide some sort of meal for our musicians either before the event or on a break.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes. We usually provide recorded music during our break but we also allow the client to provide special music they may want to hear as well. We will run their selections through our sound system as well.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan?
We get confirmations 2-3 days beforehand and if someone doesn't show up due to an accident(?) we have many other musicians to call that are local.
What is your overtime rate?
Essentially 10% of the cost of the band per hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Only for out of town performances
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
50% deposit
