What do your packages include? Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, Prints, Thank You Cards, Video Montage
Do you have liability insurance? Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning? Certain images lend themselves to artistic treatments. I include toning, black & white, sepia and artistic filtering on those images. Other images can be edited upon request at an additional charge.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? Weddings are unique in their lighting. One moment may be dark (say in the chapel/sanctuary of a church) the next well-lit (outside or in the reception hall). I am able to seamlessly switch between those situations and produce consistently good images.
Is your media preference film or digital? Digital all the way!
How many photographers do you work with? For smaller events I do all the shooting. A larger, longer wedding requires an additional photographer.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? Yes, my contract states that I will be there or I will send another competent professional in my place. The only time I would send a substitute would be in the case of a family emergency or personal illness.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend? Once you've booked my services by paying your deposit, that time slot is yours. In rare instances I may book a morning wedding and an evening wedding on the same day, but I do not schedule events back-to-back.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? Yes, I work with another photographer locally who is able to step in in case of an emergency.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of? Two cameras: my primary camera and a backup, 3-4 lenses depending on the size of the venue, extra camera batteries and the charging dock, a speedlight (flash), reflectors, mono and/or tripod, extra memory cards, free-standing studio strobes if needed.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction? Yes, I have a backup camera along with other backup equipment.
Do you charge hourly or full day? My packages are primarily hourly, but I am flexible and we can negotiate a full-day.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours? Yes, extra hours are charged according to the package purchased.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? I generally provide my own snacks/water so I can stay focused on the event.
Do you charge for travel? Travel expenses are paid by the client if the wedding is to be held at a "destination" location such as Branson, Eureka Springs etc.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing? 3-4 weeks
In what format are the initial proofs offered? Electronic
How long can the client keep the proofs? I will meet with the bride and groom to show them the initial proofs. The bride and groom will then be able to show family & friends the proofs with an on-line proofing system.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos? Yes
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos? Yes
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client? Only with certain packages
Will images be available for viewing online? Yes
What kind of albums do you offer? I offer press-printed hard cover books as well as upscale hardcover books printed on photographic paper.
When will the client get the final album? 6-8 weeks following the order date.
