What music genres are in your collection? 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, Big Band, Classical, Dance, Funk, Hip Hop, Oldies, Pop, R&B, Rock, Swing
Do you have liability insurance? Yes
Describe your DJ style: We are always friendly, courteous and professional. The event should fit your taste and style, so we always work with you to find out the level of DJ interaction you would like.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested? You will pick your music so your event will have a custom play list.We have a music library of over 35,000 songs and always encourage requests.
What is your usual attire? We always dress semi formal, with black slacks, dress shoes, button up shirt and tie.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it? If we can purchase it through Itunes we will be happy to buy the music we may not have. We can also play off of the clients ipod or CD.
How many other DJs do you work with? We have 6 staff DJs and never hire outside DJs. So we can keep the quality high and prices low.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for? 3 to 4 hours
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking? All planning is done at our office in Santa Rosa in person, or via email, phone and fax.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events? We work a lot of Latin or mixed Latin events.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list? Yes, of course. The NO PLAY list is very important.
Do you bring your own equipment? Yes
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? Yes, we have lighting, dance floor and Photo booth rentals
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on? 1 to 2 hours for set up. We always have table and linen
Do you have any extra space requirements? 4 by 4 foot
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? No
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs? Yes, we emcee the event, but typically DO NOT talk between songs.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? There are a number of DJ tricks we use to get people dancing if they are being shy. Group dances, dedications, music change ups, soul train line or snowball dances all get people up and moving on the dance floor.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? We donā¬"t take breaks, and meal is not required but always appreciated.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks? Yes,
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? We have a staff of DJs that can fill in.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? No
What is your overtime rate? $50 per half hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? $100 if the event is more than 120 miles round trip
What is the required deposit to secure your services? $200 deposit required to secure date
