Description: Alan James the leader and founder of Powerhouse hails from London, England and has an extensive career in the music business. As a young guitarist in the early days when British rock bands were up an coming Alan befriended and played with such iconic rockers as Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell with Jimmy Hendrix, The Moody Blues, Yes and Mick Taylor with the Stones. Not long after that Alan auditioned and was hired to be lead guitarist for International singing star Roy Orbison. He then went on to perform ten world tours with Roy and played most of the major venues around the world. Alan's television credits include appearances on the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "Midnight Special", "Austin City Limits", "Saturday Night Live", "Don Kushners Rock Concert, and many Dick Clarke Specials. Alan has the experience in the music business that people only dream of and he brings that experience to every Powerhouse performance. Powerhouse is one of America's favorite corporate/social bands. With five lead singers the vocal ability is awesome. The band has been requested by many of the nations top corporations to perform at meetings around the globe including London, Monte Carlo, Toronto, Cancun, San Juan and Paris. Powerhouse has performed for President Bush, Vice President Joe Biden, celebrity weddings, three Super Bowls and high profile celebrity fundraisers. When the Director of the Academy Awards got married he chose Powerhouse to perform at the star-studded affair. The band has traveled the world and shared the stage with such headliners as, The Eagles, Sting, Seal, Donna Summer, The Temptations, Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Hamlish, Spinners, Foreigner and Gin Blossoms. Vince McMann chose Powerhouse to perform in Houston for Wrestlemaina 25 in 2009. During this show Kid Rock performed with Powerhouse.The NFL chose Powerhouse to perform for the Super Bowl team owners gala in Miami, February 2010 and Donald Trump hired Powerhouse to perform the half time show for his personal Super Bowl party at Trump International.
