It's always interesting when a consumer feels they need to blame someone for a bad experience... We would never speak to a specific situation with a customer yet we can explain our polices and experience with over 65 weddings in 5 years.. When any consumer comes onto the property, they are alowed several visits with their contract to take in any and all the information they need.... It is explained that as a indoor outdoor venue there is always the risk of weather and occasionally it does do just that.. And generally patrons are un happy if it shows up thats not the fault of our venue... We are just an old farm,, old buildings, drips, leaks etc etc etc the wedding and private party aspect is just a bi-product of the grounds and we started doing it because people started asking us to not because we planned it.. we charge modest prices and require that patrons participate to a set of rules regarding the property being it a payment schedule, deposits guidelines, things they or their guests can or cannot do in on or around the property etc... we remind them that if they are planning around incliment weather they should consider appropriate insurance policies... There are a whole list of options they can choose to implement or not... we are not burger king, or walmart etc. a rental does then make the customer always right..We give out a copy of the terms and agreement to any possible rental far in advance of allowing them to sign it so that it can be reviewed allowing ample time for their understanding to the terms of any business we may or may not do together ,, if when someone does sign a contract stating they then understand all the guidelines and rules then come event day disregard them we are going to protect our interests even if that means a poor review by said consumer... we wish our clientail the best of luck in their endevors Unfourtunatly we do expect a common respect from them and if thats not fair I don't know what to say..
Country Charm City Sophistication There are a # of things & ways this property may be used&. The Farm was purposes in a direction to host special events & serve heritage from the view point only a nearly 100 an interesting backdrop to any event.. It can be dressed in country charm, elegance or both with an old world feel& Its rustic basis is great for any event& The old barn is 70 years old & There are 2 fountain areas one with a surrounding 8 pointed star representing a map or compass directional star in hope that those utilizing it will never loose their way as individuals or couples.. One with a out door open air arbor and accompanying heart shaped grass area for unique ceremony arrangements and sits centered to the property with the barn and other elements as backdrops& Outside stage 10 X 30 feet and a dance area with close to 1700 square feet.. The packing Shed - dressed in tulle and lights w/ raised arbor. The old chicken house- w/ chatted floor and open sides The loafin shed - pavilion and great place to accommodate food vendors Building #5- a small chapel, guest sign in & gift drop room, or brides ready room.
