Description: What makes us different from other companies in the wedding industry? We offer two very important vendors for your wedding day, all at one company. That is less phone calls & emails you have to make to be sure that your wedding days goes on without any complications. We work together on a regular basis. Our photographer and DJ will communicate well with each other. Already have a photographer or a DJ and just need the other? That is not a problem! We will work well with anyone you put us together with. We have worked with many other photographers and DJs and know how to communicate with them. We know how important your wedding day memories and your reception entertainment are to making your day stand out from all the rest. We offer other services as well. From DVD slideshows, with our own 100" screen and DVD projector, you don't have to pay $$$ to rent one from your venue. We can offer dance floor lighting, and even monogram lighting to personalize your event. With over 175,000 songs in our all digital library, the party will not stop! We even have ceremony music if you are in need of a CD to be made, or for us to DJ your ceremony. We have several album options for your memories as well. We will sit down with you after your wedding photos have all been edited and put together your order with you choosing the photos that are put into your album, not us. Do you have liability insurance? No
Describe your DJ style: We play the music you ask for. Need an emcee? We can take care of that. We make it fun!
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested? We have over 100,000 songs in an all digital library. We also have the ability to download music from several sources, when internet is available either through venue or our data card. Requests are always welcome!
What is your usual attire? Dress code is decided on by the couple. We can come dressed in a tuxedo, a suit and tie, or casual attire.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it? No, we will obtain all music requested by the couple. We also have the ability to download music at the event, should something be requested that we do not have.
How many other DJs do you work with? We have 3 DJs that work for us.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for? There is no minimum.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking? Yes, in fact, we encourage it.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list? Yes
Do you bring your own equipment? Yes, we also have a backup system.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? If requested, we have a lighting package available. Lighting includes a simulated mirror ball, and several colored lighting effects that will flash with the music.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on? If there is no lighting requested, setup time is approximately 30 minutes. If lighting is requested, about one hour. We can provide our own table, if needed.
Do you have any extra space requirements? Only if lighting is requested. The lighting grid will go above the DJ table, but it is 13 feet wide with the stands.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? Not for weddings. We only put our business cards on the table for guests to pick up if interested. We do not think that a large banner at a wedding is appropriate.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs? Yes. Talking between songs is kept to a minimum. Only to energize the crowd.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? We have several games that we can play, such as the wedding shoe game, or we will play a group dance song like the YMCA, Cupid Shuffle, or Electric Slide.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? We do not require any breaks. The client is not required to provide the DJ with a meal either. If the client offers a meal to one of our DJ's, they will eat at the DJ table while continuing to entertain your guests.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks? Our music library is all digital and we do not leave the table for more than 5 minutes at a time (bathroom break). Music will continue to play.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? There are 3 DJs employed by Muzik & Memories. One DJ is always on call as backup in case another can not perform.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? There have been times where two DJs have been working the same day, but it is not very common. We do have two full setups and backup equipment.
What is your overtime rate? There is no overtime rate. Time is charged by the hour, extra time can be added, if needed.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? Travel fees will depend on the location. Locations in Hendricks, Marion, or Boone Counties will not require a travel fee. Any location more than 40 miles from Avon, IN will require a small mileage fee.
What is the required deposit to secure your services? For DJ services only, our non-refundable deposit is $200. The remaining balance is due by the wedding date. If hiring for both photography and DJ, deposit will depend on package choice.

How many photographers do you work with? We currently have 3 photographers staffed with Muzik & Memories. Many of our packages include a second photographer, with Erricka Jones being the primary photographer.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? Yes
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend? Only one wedding is scheduled per day, for photography.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? Should something happen that Erricka is unavailable for the wedding day, a replacement will be found.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction? Erricka shoots with a Digital camera, but carries a film camera as a backup.
Do you charge hourly or full day? There are packages available, or we can be hired at an hourly rate.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours? There is no such thing as overtime. We will continue to shoot as long as the couple needs us. Additional time will be billed to the client at our regular hourly rate of $150 for the first photographer, and $100 for additional photographer.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? We do not require breaks. We do ask that the couple provides a meal for photographers that are hired for more than 4 hours, but it is not required.
Do you charge for travel? This will depend on the package chosen and the distance. Locations within 40 miles of Avon, IN will not require a travel fee.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing? Online proofs will be available within three weeks of the wedding. If the couple does not have internet access, a meeting will be scheduled to view and choose photos for their package.
In what format are the initial proofs offered? Online
How long can the client keep the proofs? Online proofs will be viewable for up to 2 months. Additional time can be added for a monthly fee.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos? Yes, but a release can be given with purchase of high resolution image disk.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos? Yes
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client? Some packages include a disk for the couple to print their own photos. If not included in package, option is available for the couple to purchase a disk.
Will images be available for viewing online? Yes, for up to 2 months. Additional time can be added for a monthly fee.
What kind of albums do you offer? Traditional and digitally printed photo books.
When will the client get the final album? Albums are not available to the couple until the balance is paid in full. Once balance is paid, the couple's traditional album will be ready within two weeks of placing order (depending on availability of album chosen). If couple decides to have photos in a digitally printed photo book, pages will be ready for preview in 2-3 weeks. Once the pages are approved by the couple and order is placed, the photo book is available in 2-4 weeks.
