Description: The beautiful Mauch Chunk Ballroom is located in the heart of historic and picturesque Jim Thorpe, PA. Near white water rafting, hiking and biking trails & more you can turn your wedding into a weekend of adventure. With its pristine hardwood floor, ornate moldings, decorative paint, and cavernous climate-controlled space, the Mauch Chunk Ballroom is the perfect event space for your wedding reception, corporate meeting, family reunion, theatre performance, or birthday party. At the Ballroom you can select from our list of pre-approved chefs/caterers or bring your own (must be licensed and insured). They provide the food, we provide the stellar service. Packages start at $46.75. And now, the Ballroom utilizes Planning Pod to make it easy for Brides to plan their entire wedding all in one location. Every couple gets their very own wedding website that they can share with family and friends, collect RSVP's and much more! Just an added benefit of booking your wedding at the Mauch Chunk Ballroom. How does your venue determine the cost of the space? Price is based per person. Weddings of less than 100 guests will incurr a small room use fee. We have various caterers to choose from , or you can bring your own. Our website has the combined prices combined with our listed caterers.
Do you offer any special services? Every package includes your very own wedding planner to assist you throughout the planning phases, offering advice, budget guidance, and vendor referrals. Well connected within the community, our planner can help make what you envision for you day come to fruition. We also offer FREE parking at the Jim Thorpe Municipal lot with a shuttle to take your guests from the parking lot to our front door.
Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners? We do have a dinner party package and can accommodate rehearsal dinners. Ask our event planner for more details.
Do you offer additional items for the ceremony? Ceremony can be held at the Ballroom for no additional charge.
Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware? Linens are included in all our packages which includes chair covers and choice of color sash. Upgrade on linens to include overlays or runners is available.
What is your staff-to-guest ratio? Each event is considered on a case by case basis to ensure that every wedding and all the elements involved are properly staffed.
Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors? We can provide you with a list of vendors we have worked with and trust.
Do you require the client to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is that an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians? There is no house musicians or additional fees associated with musicians. We do have a list of local musicians that we can recommend.
Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired? The Ballroom is BYOB&L. This gives you the freedom to select only those drinks that you know your guests will like.
What restrictions (if any) on decorations? Any decor items are allowed as long as they do not have to be affixed to the wall (taped, etc.)

Describe your parking facilities: Your guests will park at the Jim Thorpe Train Station Municipal Lot on Lehigh Street . The Ballroom has a shuttle to take guests from the Jim Thorpe Train Station parking lot right to the front door of our facility. The parking and the shuttle is provided FREE courtesy of the Mauch Chunk Ballroom.
