I am Gretchen, the owner of M.A.L.I. I am professional makeup artist and master hair stylist based out of Huntington Long Island specializing in superior airbrush makeup, hair styles for brides, as well as ethnic and Indian weddings and tattoo coverage (read more info below). We have a team of 4 girls (including myself)! Here are a few things we would like you to know about us:
*We all hold valid NYS Cosmetology and/or Esthetics licenses and multiple certifications in makeup & hair.

We specialize in providing services for all special occasion makeup applications, hair design and multi media makeup and hair for clients of any age! All of our professional stylists have current standings in the bridal industry, as well as multi-media makeing everyone here at M.A.L.I. well seasoned in every area: From high paced events, to easy going mornings and afternoons. you will find us very adaptable and accommodating.
With my experience and expertise, as well as my teams paralelled professionalism, you can rest assure that your makeup and hair will be flawless, and will hold up to the hot flashing lights of the cameras, the tears of joy, and the kisses of congratulations!
A Few Words Of Advice About Cleanliness: Disposable are used at all times for lip color appliaction, and mascara applications to prevent the spread of diseases and germs. Lipsticks are NEVER applied directly to the lips from their container and NEVER should be! We chip with spatulas and place on a disposable palettes for safety! We also give you the option of purchasing small brush sets so that each participant has a fresh makeup application with new, unused brushes. Our makeup artists use very specific brush cleansing proceedures, and makeup sanitation proceedures in between applications offering maximum safety. Brides...Please look carefully at your makeup artists kits...if they look dirty...they probably are! If they break out a lipstick or gloss or keep using a lipbrush to double dip...say NO THANKS and get out your own product! If they look well utilized but clean, well then you have yourself a seasoned professional.

Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?
Yes, we provide the option of on location makeup artists & hair stylists. Fee is based upon location. Please call or email for details!
How many customers can you serve at one time if the bride were to book her entire bridal party? Are there discounts for doing so?
We can acommodate any size bridal party you give us! We have done many open forums of hair & makeup services at hotels. This provides your guests with the option of hair & makeup as well! Rates are based on the number of clients booked.
How far in advance should clients book your services?
Anywhere from 1 day up to 24 months in advance! It all depends on client timeline, budget, and desire to book our services to secure a peticular date. There is never a lull in business for us, so do take into consideration that every weekend of the year does eventually book up!
What is your cancellation policy?
There is a $50, non-refundable deposit required to hold your date. This deposit is deducted at the time of service.
