Description: Wedding Ceremonies We have extensive experience with music from many religious traditions. We also provide inspiring and uplifting music for non-religious ceremonies. The addition of Lyricas solo musicians, vocalist or small ensemble will help create the right mood in any setting to make your day unforgettable. We will help you choose the right sounds to create all the moods appropriate to your day; some moments are quiet and meditative, some moments are upbeat and joyful, some are grand and elegant. We will also integrate Lyricas music with services provided by musicians from your church or synagogue, or with songs performed by your family and friends. If musicians from your church or synagogue are part of the wedding, Lyrica musicians will coordinate closely with them. If a friend or relative wishes to sing a solo at your wedding, Lyrica can accompany him or her. For a Jewish wedding, we have created special musical arrangements unique to Lyrica of songs from the Jewish tradition. It is also appropriate to play elegant classical music and other songs of your choice at a Jewish wedding. We are a preferred ensemble for several rabbis in Greater Cincinnati. For a wedding Mass in a Roman Catholic church, we will work in cooperation with the priest or the parish music director. We are experienced church musicians, and we play Mass music throughout the week. We can provide the perfect music for the entire wedding Mass, including the vocal leadership and all the instrumental music. Or we can coordinate with other musicians from your church. If the liturgy will be lead by a musician on staff at the church, we will work closely with that professional to add special touches your wedding music. When you are choosing the musicians for your ceremony, Lyrica can offer expert guidance. We will take into account the type of ceremony you're dreaming of, the musical sounds that appeal to you most, your wedding site and your budget. Wedding Receptions Perhaps your reception calls for cool jazz, soothing and joyful classical music, or a dance band. Talk with us about the type of reception you are planning, and we will help you create the right musical mood. You might consider one type of music for cocktails, and another for dinner. Or you might choose one ensemble that plays a variety of music and works perfectly for the entire reception. Economical package pricing is available when you request Lyrica musicians for both the wedding ceremony and reception. What is your band's usual attire? The musical ensemble dresses appropriately for the event. If it is formal, they are in sophisticated formal wear. Other options are suits, All Black, or Black and White.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs? Visit our website, www.lyrica.org to hear some samples. Also, talk with us about some exciting musical options that are not currently represented on the site.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know? We are always adding songs. Talk with us about that special song you want to hear!
How much time do you usually need for setup? Depending on the number of musicians in the group you choose, a typical setup time will be 20-60 minutes. However Lyrica musicians arrive early, always in plenty of time to be playing the first song when your first guest arrives.
How much space do you usually require? Our smallest musical ensemble needs nor more than a few square feet, and our largest will require considerably more. We will consider the space you have chosen when making recommendations for music to serve your needs.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? This is *your* event, so we will not post promotional material. Our "advertisement" is the beauty and excitement of our musical sound.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? Some of our larger ensembles offer special lighting to add to the mood of the reception. Our smaller ensembles do not offer special lighting, but we can recommend excellent companies to take care of every lighting or special audio need.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs? Lyrica can provide a top-notch Master or Mistress of Ceremonies if you would like this service. The MC can make all the announcements for the reception, helping to keep your reception on schedule. This can take the burden off of your family and friends.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? We find that wedding guests like to alternate between talking and dancing. Your guests will never be "bored with the music" when we are playing! Well-played music creates the right environment for a memorable event that leaves everyone feeling good.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? There are several ways breaks can be worked out for a reception. We will talk with you to be sure nothing interrupts the flow of your reception.
Do you play recorded music during your break? For a reception, recorded music can be provided, but many of our musical ensembles stagger musicians' breaks so that there is continuous music with no unexpected silences.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan? Lyrica's musicians have earned the highest reputation for reliability. It is extremely rare that a musician is unable to perform. However if the worst did happen, we would call on the best available musicians so that your music would continue as planned. Our reservoir of professional, experienced musicians is deep.
What is your overtime rate? For some events, the fee is all-inclusive and you will not be charged anything additional within a broad time frame. For other events, the overtime rate depends on the number of musicians in the ensemble you have chosen. You will know the exact rate before we write the contract.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? There are no travel fees for the vast majority of the engagements we play. For some venues quite far beyond Cincinnati, there may be a mileage charge. However there are never any surprises. You will know the exact fees before the contract is written.
What is the required deposit to secure your services? For most events, the deposit is a simple $100.
